How to set up your Amazon Echo device for voice command via your Android phone

When you’re talking with your Amazon Alexa device on your Android smartphone, you can control it from your Android device.

Here’s how to do that using your Android Phone.1.

Connect your Amazon device to your Android Device.

If you don’t have an Amazon device yet, it’s a good idea to check out our guide for how to connect your Android Android phone to your Amazon account.2.

Go to Settings > Device Info and turn on the Amazon Device.3.

Tap the Alexa button at the top of the screen.

If the Amazon device isn’t displaying, you might need to enter a name or phone number.4.

Press the voice button to ask your Alexa device to answer a question.

When your Alexa has finished asking questions, press the voice buttons again to repeat the process.5.

Press “OK” to end the Alexa voice command prompt.

If your Alexa still doesn’t respond, turn off the device and start it up again.

If all went well, you should see your Amazon Devices voice prompt in the top left corner of your Android home screen.
